Virtual Charting is a wireless, and truly paperless, private medical office solution encompassing Paperless Chart Digital Storage, Interactive User Interface, Patient Usable Primary Forms, Full Backend Administration, Template Forms, and of course, the Virtual Chart itself.
Virtual Chart Tablet PC: This Virtual Chart is a cutting edge technology that has integrated the use of a Laptop computer with the portability of a Small PDA device. Virtual Charting has partnered with Tablet PC manufacturers to supply us with these advanced FIC manufactured devices that weigh less than three-and-a-half pounds. The doctor and nurse can now access any patient file, at any time, with just a few simple clicks on the Digital Virtual Chart/Tablet PC.
Scan Existing Documents: The process begins with digitizing, or scanning, the entire existing patient files into a database for patient specific retrieval. This means the paperwork is now stored on the servers installed into the back room, not in endless file cabinets. Removable Media Back-ups of the data are done daily and are stored in a Media Vault Fire Safe for protection.
Scan and Implement Templates: Next comes the addition of the scanned paperwork template files. These are the precise forms that are already in use in the office. Virtual Charting chose this approach over the mainstream ideology of, “Let's make the one best form for everyone”, through experience that there is no single best way of running a medical office. We rely on the expertise already in place to make the Virtual Charting Experience that much better.
At this point we have all the tools necessary to replace 70% of the day-to-day operations of the normal medical office, including reviewing previous patient files and the procedure of creating new files sheets for new visits and new notes from the templates.
Training: Virtual Charting is totally committed to ensuring you succeed in a wireless world. We offer a training session for the whole office to prepare the staff for using the system for real, first thing Monday morning. We also assign a team of consultants to your office to continue training and coaching of the system. We make sure your office experiences nothing but success.
History
Virtual Charting was born in April of 2000. A Simple Idea that was too far ahead of its time to be implemented. A typical medical office has thousand and thousands of files. The cumbersome management of just “backing up an office” on disk wasn't enough. It had to be inter-gradable, wireless and easy to use. The IT world had nothing to offer. Out of necessity comes the mother of all inventions. Thus Virtual Charting began to bubble. Ted Campos had a vision. A Simpler vision than a salesman might pitch, or corporate executive might document. What if an office could truly be paperless? What if the Software could truly be Custom? What if the Hardware was there to support it? What if it could actually happen, today? These and many more questions were the initial roads that needed to be traveled.
