I am sure you can understand how infant the technology was in the mid 80's. The concept of EMR was born out the desire for efficiency and the idea of technology. EMR has become more about how an office can integrate paperless and wireless technology into a very inefficient process of personnel and patient workflow. The medical industry has been one of the slowest and most delayed adopters of new technology first.
