iKey 1032 USB Smart Token.

Virtual Charting 1.x provides security far beyond all other EMR products that exist in the marketplace today and well as H.I.P.A.A. standards.

The Rainbow iKey 1032 USB-based two-factor authentication token provides a very effective and easy-to-use control for multiple users over a network service, as in Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and controls Intranet, Extranet, and Internet access. The iKey 1032 is 1024-bit encryped and is considered by many industry and network professionals to be the most effective security measure in every environment it touches.

Each and every device that touches the Virtual Charting 1.x software, ie.. servers, workstations & TabletPCs, require an iKey at logon. The individual user preferences are stored directly on the iKey which enables any Virtual Charting 1.x authorized user to roam from workstation to workstation or from TabletPC to TabletPC without the worry of reconfiguring our advanced software to better suit their individual preferences. The token that defines a user and that is written to these iKeys also get written to each and every page of a patients charts that he/she views or edits. Secure accountablility is a feature you wont find anywhere else.

The iKey 1032 token consists of a Microprocessor with a USB controller and memory all within a device small enough to store on your key chain. The iKey 1032 Series acts similar to a smart card and provides highly reliable storage capabilities of 32KB with 1024-bit encryption. The iKey 1032 security system provides for two levels; the end-user and the Enterprise Security Officer. An end-user can be authorized to perform sensitive functions in the iKey 1032 via PIN or pass phrase authentication. A Security Officer (SO) may also be authenticated to the token with a separate PIN or pass phrase to perform sensitive operations, such as initializing an End-user’s PIN.

The Ikey is included in the cost of Virtual Charting 1.x's licensing fee. One iKey for every concurrent licensed user. This includes the server.
